I have heard lot of people complaining that their new site still doesnt show up in the major search engines even after weeks. Now here is a neat way on how to get the search engines to crawl your web-site as soon as your site is up online. Submit your page to the following three Search Engines.
Yahoo!’s Free Add URL page
(Note: You need to have a registered Yahoo! account to submit here. Both AltaVista and All The Web are now fed by Yahoo!’s new engine.)
MSN’s Add URL page
The crawler of MSN is very impressive, your site shows up in a few days. But if you want to hurry it up… go ahead.

Hey, thanks a lot man, this is helpful. I show up on Google as it is, but still.
Good to know you found something useful. And you have a nice blog.
I prefer the age-old trick of getting someone else to link to the site and allowing the crawlers to find it via that route. I have to agree with you about MSN though, they pick up on new posts lightning fast, although I suspect currency of the article plays some part in their algorithim.
I agree with you Gerry McGarry. Nothing can beat the old trick. And yes I guess MSN has a lot to do with content of the blog. BTW you have a good blog.
very interesting post
well it’s not necessary that your site will be available in search result after addurl, some times google applies penalty and block the site due to some reasons, it may be because of your site having duplicate contents or duplicate site etc. you should read the guide which you can find by search in google.
great blog
Thanks a lot. This will be great in giving my website to my friends. instead of making them go to apple1and1more.co.nr I can just tell them to search google or bing for apple1and1more.
